You鈥檙e invited to help solve a mystery in Hoke Auditorium
April 19, 2023
As director of 小猪视频鈥檚 spring theatre production, Harrison Burnette is excited to bring an Agatha Christy murder mystery to campus. 鈥淭he Mousetrap鈥 one of the most famous whodunnits in the world, having been enjoyed by theatergoers since 1952.
Burnette, a junior and major, says Christianity influenced Agatha Christy鈥檚 writing.
鈥淢ost of her plays have an obvious moral message,鈥 Burnette said. 鈥淲ith our show in particular there is a wonderful moral involved,鈥 Burnette added, but stopped short of giving away too much of the plot.
Burnette estimates his cast and crew have put in about 100 hours of rehearsal since January getting ready.
鈥淚鈥檓 really, really confident in my cast,鈥 Burnette said. They鈥檙e doing an excellent job. Most of them have experience and that鈥檚 really helpful. It鈥檚 been a wonderful process.鈥
鈥淭he Mousetrap鈥 will be presented in Hoke Auditorium Friday and Saturday April 28 and 29 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday April 30 at 3:00. Tickets are sold at the door.
