The current annual estimated tuition at CIU for a full-time undergraduate student who lives on campus is $39,850. That includes tuition, living expenses, book rentals, and fees.

We also recommend that all students budget for additional indirect costs they may incur such as $80 for loan fees, $1200 for purchasing educational supplies & equipment, $1,000 for transportation and $1,200 for miscellaneous expenses.

Below is a full list of all fees for 2024–2025. It includes information on living expenses, insurance, deposits, private music lessons, graduation expenses and other details you’ll need to know.

  2. Tutoring Services: Free or subsidized access to tutoring and academic support services, including writing centers, peer tutoring, and academic coaching to help students excel in their courses.

  3. Student Activities: Funding for campus events and activities, such as social gatherings, student clubs, recreational outings, and cultural events. These activities help foster a sense of community and engagement among students.

  4. Activity Equipment: Access to sports, recreation, or fitness equipment used in student activities. This could include outdoor gear, gym equipment, or materials for organized sports and intramural leagues.

  5. Technology Support: Assistance with technology-related issues such as campus Wi-Fi, computer labs, and technical troubleshooting for personal devices. It may also include software licenses, online learning platforms, and access to other tech resources.

  6. Health and Wellness Services: Coverage for on-campus wellness programs or basic health services, such as access to counseling and mental health resources.

  7. Library and Study Resources: Extended access to library services, including digital and physical resources, as well as study spaces.

  8. Campus Safety and Security: Support for campus security operations, ensuring a safe environment for students to live and study.

Single, double, or triple room requests and any preferences given on the Student Housing Survey are based on availability and not guaranteed. Due to the volume of requests, first choice may not be available.

Living expenses (room & board) do not include mid-semester breaks and the time between semesters (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Break).

RAM Cards: Students who are on a CIU meal plan may use $100 per semester for purchases made at 34 North Coffee Shop. The initial $100 of the Ram Card is included in the Room and Board costs. Students will receive a gift card after start of the semester.

Paying for College

CIU students can apply for federal grants and loans by filling out the FAFSA. Federal aid will assist with covering the costs associated with the online undergraduate or online graduate programs.

Payment Plans

Not everyone can afford to pay college tuition in one lump sum. That’s why we offer our tuition payment plan, which allows you to pay tuition in interest-free monthly installments. There is no enrollment fee to sign up for the plan, and you must enroll in the plan before your tuition payment is due.

Pine View Apartments at СÖíÊÓƵ is a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Conveniently located on the campus of CIU, Pine View offers many activities to promote community and foster relationships. It’s an excellent option for those looking for quality, affordable housing.

Pine View offers efficiency, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. Furnished apartments are also available in our two- and three-bedroom homes. Residents can choose to rent an entire apartment, or share a two- or three-bedroom apartment with roommates (without ever being responsible for paying for your roommates’ portion!).
